  1. Hello, what a great build of this sub! a job well done. Could I ask what paint colour did you use? and how and what did you use to weather it? it looks just great and I hope to be able to get the same type of finish.
    Thank you for your time.

    1. Hi Brad!

For the black colour, I am using Revell 9 anthrazite. If Revell paints aren’t available where you live, use any off-black paint for the base. Weathering was done using grinded artist dry pastels – grey, black, brown. They were applied on the flat surface with a soft brush in a streaking top to bottom motion. Hope this helps.

  2. Sebastijan,

Thank you for taking the time to reply and thank you for sharing the info on how you weather your subs.
I will order some pigments and give it a go. Keep up the great model building!

    Thank you.

  3. YES PLEASE!….. I would be very great full if you could, that would be very kind of you thank you.
I have only just started to enter the world of weathering. And have started to pick up most of all the new Hobby Boss subs as they come out.
I have about 9 now and have the Akula, Le Triomphant, Virginia, Kilo all at primer stage have the Type 212 which I have spray painted in the base colours XF-69 Nato Black. Now looking to weather them a bit when I came across your site.

I look very much forward to your guide.

    Thank you.
